STAGE INSTRUCTIONS

COMPETITOR #
You can wear your Competitor # on either side. Please make sure it is visible to the judges when facing front.

STAGE SIZE
On most stages, you will have about a 15-20 foot walk to “Center Stage”.

ENTRANCE WALK
We encourage practicing a “natural” confident walk to the center stage.

*** NEWBIES!

If you have never competed before, we’ve got you covered!  A stage expeditor will be on stage to assist you.  We’ve put over 50,000 competitors on stage since 1994!  Don’t worry, we’ll make it smooth and easy for you.  This is a “Showcase Stage”… Just have FUN!

POSING PRESENTATION

  1. You will have approximately 10 seconds after reaching center stage to present yourself to the judges. This is a “front/back/front” presentation.

2. When practicing your presentation, allow about 3 seconds at your starting front position.

3. Turn to the back, and allow about 3 seconds in your back position.

4. Turn back to the front for about 3 seconds to finish your presentation to the judges and exit the stage as directed by the expeditor.

5. Our WBBF will not have a “strict or rigid” routine for your presentation. We do not require a “cookie cutter” presentation with exact hand placements and movements.

6. We want competitors to have the freedom to present themselves to the judges in a manner that they feel comfortable with and that allows a more “natural & individual” presentation.

7. If you have competed previously in a Bikini/Physique competition, you should be comfortable with your presentation on our WBBF stage.

8. If you are new and you already feel confident in walking to center stage and presenting yourself to the judges, then you should be fine since we are not strict regarding an exact presentation style.

9. If you are new to the competition stage, and feel unsure of what to do, you may benefit from getting a trainer, or searching for videos of similar stage competitions to help you get the basics down to feel more comfortable in finding your best style.

10. ATHLETIC PHYSIQUE ONLY. Athletic Physique competitors will be allowed to hit their favorite “classic” style poses during their 10 second presentation.  Example:  Front Double Bicep, Side Chest, Back Double Bicep, Side Tricep, Abdominal.

The head judge will call random competitor numbers to the center stage line, where front to back turn comparisons will be performed as a group. Judges will compare competitors against others in the same class to help determine placement.
