All posing is the same for each category listed above. The only exception is Men’s Athletic Physique. See pre-judging & individual posing info below for the breakdown. If you have never competed before, we got you covered! A stage expeditor will be on stage to assist you. We have put over 50,000 competitors on stage since 1994, do not worry, we will make it smooth and easy for you.

PRE-JUDGING & INDIVIDUAL POSING

 

COMPETITOR #
You can wear your number on either side, please make sure your number is visible to the judges when facing front.

 

ENTERING THE STAGE
Competitors will walk to the center stage RED SQUARE.

 

FRONT FACING
Begin your routine facing the front, the competitor will perform quarter turns.

 

TURN & FACE THE BACK
Do a back stance.

 

TURN TO THE FRONT
Do a front stand facing the judges, the head judge will call “TIME” exit the stage as directed by the stage expeditor.

 

PRE-JUDGING INDIVIDUAL POSING – Men’s Athletic Physique ONLY
10 second routine you can hit your favorite classic poses. Nothing is mandatory.  Whatever looks good for your Physique. EXAMPLE: Front Double Bicep, One Arm Bicep, Side Chest, Lat Spread… or a variety of classic poses that compliment your physique.  Go to * Men’s Athletic Physique ONLY for Comparisons

 

PRE-JUDGING COMPARISON ROUND
Once all competitors have completed their individual routines, all competitors will come out as a group.  If the group is large, the groups may be split into 2 or more groups.  You will line up on the front line of the stage, facing the front.

 

HEAD JUDGE INSTRUCTIONS
The Head Judge will instruct you when to execute the TURNS to the back or front as a group. These are the same TURNS you completed for your individual routines.  You will end up facing the judges, and please make sure the judges can see your competitor #.

 

HEAD JUDGE COMPARISONS
The head judge will call random competitor numbers to the center stage line, where front to back turn comparisons will be performed as a group. Judges will compare competitors against others in the same class to help determine placement.

 

ON THE DIAGONAL
(If needed) For larger classes.  On each back corner of the stage will be a diagonal line.  The Head Judge will instruct you to move to the diagonal.  A stage expeditor will be on stage to help you.  The stage expeditor will split the line and place half the competitors on each diagonal. From the diagonal line, the Head Judge will call your # to the center of the stage for comparisons TURNS as a smaller group.

 

PRE-JUDGING COMPARISON ROUND –  Men’s Athletic Physique ONLY
The Head Judge will call out these Mandatory 5 Poses:

1. Front Double Bicep
2. Side Chest (best side)
3. Back Double Bicep
4. Side Triceps (best side)
5. Front Abdominal.

 

HEAD JUDGE COMPARISONS
The head judge will call random competitor numbers to line up center stage where comparisons will be performed as a group. Judges will compare competitors against others in the same class to help determine placement. ON THE DIAGONAL (If needed) For larger classes. On each back corner of the stage will be a diagonal line. The Head Judge will instruct you to move to the diagonal.  A stage expeditor will be on stage to help you. The stage expeditor will split the line and place half the competitors on each diagonal. From the diagonal line, the Head Judge will call random competitor numbers  to the center stage line, for comparisons as a smaller group.

 

EXITING THE STAGE
Competitors will exit the stage as instructed by your stage expediter.

FINALS & TROPHY ROUND

ALL Competitors will participate and perform in the Finals.

 

TOP 5 TROPHY ROUND
The Top 5 will be come to the center of the stage for a confirmation comparison round.

The Head Judge will instruct you when to execute your TURNS or POSES as a group. These are the same TURNS or POSES you completed for your individual routines. If the class has 2 through 5 competitors in the trophy round, the confirmation round is the same. If only 1 competitor is in the trophy round, you will receive your trophy in the CENTER RED SQUARE. TOP 2 – 5 WILL BE CALLED TO THE DIAGONAL. The Head Judge will instruct competitors to move to the diagonal for the trophy round. The trophy round diagonal line is always the one closest to the side of the side you entered and on the emcee side of the stage. A stage expeditor will be on stage to help you. From the diagonal you will be called to the front-line to accept your trophy/award in the respective positions of  5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st  (1st place is in the CENTER RED SQUARE).  After a group photo, competitors will exit the stage as instructed by your stage expediter.

CODE OF CONDUCT

We have ZERO Tolerance on stage & backstage for bad sportsmanship. No moon poses or lewd behavior. Be gracious & courteous to others during the event.  We know competitors can be upset with their placing, the time and place to be upset is not at the venue.  We do have a Code of Conduct in place, and you may be subject to disqualification or suspension for any violation.  Please read our Code of Conduct requirements.
